LONG HAI SECURITY GUARDS ARE EQUIPPED WITH BASIC FIRST AID TECHNIQUES.
FIRST AID TECHNIQUES FOR UNCONSCIOUS PERSONS
When performing first aid, Long Hai security personnel must remain calm and use their hands to gently shake the victim's shoulders. Ask if they are okay. Wait to see if there is any response.
If they respond to your question, ask if they need help. If the answer is "Yes," ask if they want assistance calling for an ambulance or their relatives.
If they state they need medical assistance, call 115 immediately and help transport them to the nearest medical facility.
If the victim does not respond when you shake their shoulders, call or ask someone nearby to call an ambulance immediately. Check the victim's airway and heart rate and begin emergency CPR:
Gently tilt the victim's head back and lift the chin slightly. This will help the victim breathe easier and facilitate CPR. Place your face close to the victim's nose and mouth area and observe the chest; check if the chest is rising and falling. Listen and feel for breath to determine if the victim is still breathing.
Place your index and middle fingers on the side of the victim's neck to check the pulse and determine if the heart is still beating.

If the victim's heart has stopped beating:
If the victim is not breathing normally, coughing, or seizing, you must check for any objects in the nose or mouth obstructing the airway, then begin chest compressions. Place both hands overlapping on the center of the victim's chest, press down about 5 cm, and release; repeat this 30 times. Press and release at a rate of about 100 times per minute (faster than once per second).
Pinch the victim's nose shut and lift their chin. Press your mouth against the victim's mouth, ensuring it is tight and sealed. Blow slowly, steadily, and firmly into the victim's mouth, once every 5 seconds for adults and once every 3 seconds for children. Check if the victim's chest rises when you blow. If the chest does not rise, recheck the above steps and try again.
Pause for 5-10 seconds to check if the victim has started breathing on their own.
If not, continue until the victim can breathe independently or until medical personnel arrive.
Continue the cycle: 30 chest compressions followed by 02 rescue breaths until the 115 emergency team arrives and takes over.
Advice
If you are unsure how to check the pulse on the neck, practice on yourself or a friend.
If the victim begins to vomit, turn their head to one side. Once they have finished vomiting, clean the victim's mouth and continue CPR if necessary.
Note
Always ensure your hands are clean before touching or assisting a victim.
If there are two people, one person performs 30 chest compressions, then the other person delivers 02 rescue breaths into the victim's mouth.
