THE SILENT HIDDEN ASPECTS OF THE SECURITY PROFESSION
Every profession has its hidden corners, and for the security profession, these aspects seem far more significant. From the outside, people may only see security work as a leisurely job that requires little effort. However, the reality is not that simple. This is a job that demands utmost caution and strict discipline, not to mention the times one must face imminent danger.
Always conscious of maintaining high vigilance, they work in silence with utmost caution. Because even a slight moment of carelessness can lead to loss or theft of property. They—the security personnel—constantly hone their knowledge of public order, fire safety, and natural disasters to adapt to any circumstance.
While we gather with our families after a working day, security guards remain diligent at their posts. On Sundays, holidays, and Tet, whether under the sun or rain, in scorching heat or bone-chilling cold, while we celebrate with family and friends, they remain devoted to their work, staying awake through long nights to ensure the safety of the factory. They are the silent soldiers without weapons.
Mr. Dang Dinh Thi, Head of the Military Security Department, shared: “To me, the security profession is not a burden. Whatever the job, if we love and are passionate about it, the profession will never fail us. Everyone has a mission, and every job has its own hardships. When you love your job, you no longer see it as a struggle. During holidays and Tet, our wives and children sometimes feel disadvantaged when we cannot welcome New Year’s Eve at home or have to be on duty while other families go on vacation. But we still feel happy because we ensure the safety of the factory.”
At large companies and enterprises, there are more than 2,000 people entering and exiting daily, along with hundreds of vehicles transporting goods. Ensuring the safety of that many people and company assets is no easy task.
That is during the daytime production hours; will their work be lighter after the shift ends? Perhaps not! Every night shift employee, after the handover, must check every department, factory, lock, and electrical board. They continuously patrol to monitor fire safety and prevent ill-intentioned individuals from committing crimes like theft in the dark.
Mr. Binh, an employee of Long Hai Security Company, shared: “Due to the specific nature of our work, we security brothers have to work on holidays, Tet, and late nights. But we have motivation from our supportive families. Secondly, we receive care and attention from the Board of Directors and Department leaders, who always create favorable conditions for us to excellently fulfill our duties, ensuring absolute safety for the people and property of the Corporation.”
These security guards are always reputable and honest; they remain quiet and silent, acting as a shield to ensure the safety of the Corporation's assets and the lives of everyone. They deserve honor and appreciation from the entire community.
